Spherical Cast Tungsten Carbide Powder

Spherical Cast Tungsten Carbide (SCTC) Powder is a dark gray powder made by ultra-high temperature spheroidization or atomization. SCTC is a dendritic crystal composed of WC and W2 The feather-like microstructure is ≥ 90%. It also has excellent chemical stability and a high-melting point(2525℃). The high hardness (≥2700 HV0.1), fast flowability, and increased wear and corrosion resistance make it very popular to make hardfacing overlays.

SCTC is used to prepare PDC matrix bits powder, Plasma Arc Welding (PTAW) powder, Laser Cladding powder, spray welding materials, cemented carbide wear-resistant electrodes (wire), etc. The primary purpose is to pre-reinforce wear-resistant surfaces or repair worn surfaces for mining, oil & gas, metallurgy, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, and steel industries.
